Manuel and his crew did a wonderful job taking down a large birch tree on the side of our house for us. The team was friendly and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently to get the large tree down without damage to the house, fence, or our neighbor's house. They took care to clean up after as well. Fair pricing. Highly recommend! RGP Tree service completed two tasks for us. Tree removal and a trimming on an overgrown Maple tree. The tree that was removed was on the common ground of an Association we live in. This removal was paid for by the Association. The work was completed and grounds near the tree were cleared in an efficient manner. The trimming occured on our request. The price was reasonable and the tree looks alot better. They also offered numerous helpful tips as to products to consider and ways to keep our trees healthy for years to come. They were friendly, helpful, and efficient! Again highly recommend for any tree service needs.

Manuel and his team removed a tree that was virtually impossible to deal with. A 100 year old tree that was situated between two 100+ year old homes, and without room for a lift. Manuel climbed the tree himself and they took it down without touching any of the several structures underneath. It took more time than one of their normal jobs but they committed to get the job done right, and it was impressive to watch. Can't recommend them highly enough. I'm sorry that I hadn't reviewed RGP sooner. Manuel, brother, and crew went above and beyond. They're responsive, professional, fair and super nice. I was obsessed for hours watching the skill it took to remove two very large trees without harming my garage or playhouse. They grinded down the stumps, hauled everything away and left the space like nothing was ever there. I was very pleased.

Wow, I'm so pleased! I saw Manuel and his crew taking down a tree across the street. I went over to chat with him about our trees. He came to look at them right away and quoted me a very fair price! He was so kind and easy to work with. The crew took down our trees so fast and it looks great! He even did some more bushes that I asked for the day off. I am very happy with RGP, I highly recommend!

The crew from RGP did a fantastic job trimming the tree in our back yard. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and trimmed the tree exactly the way I wanted, completed the job within a couple of hours, and cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend them and we would definitely use them again in the future.

I called for a quote on Monday they came out two hours later and gave me a fair quote for tree removal. he said they could come and cut the tree down on Wednesday. I told him that's fine do it. On Wednesday morning when I woke up it was pouring rain so I thought for sure they would not show up. but to my surprise as soon as it stopped raining they were there. They took great care to move my Patio furniture out of the way and they cut down the tree. They did a beautiful job. the cleanup was amazing they put the furniture all back where it belonged they were friendly and very knowledgeable about taking down the tree. I have used them once before and have never been disappointed. I totally recommend them.

They emailed a quote and a copy of their insurance policy, which I think is important when cutting down a tree next to a condo building and utility lines. They offered to come out the same day that I received the documents. That day actually didn't work for us, but they came out the next day and the tree was cut and removed before I got home from work. They were friendly and quick to respond. Their cost was at the low end of other quotes we received. Good experience all around! Thanks!

I hired them to trim some trees that were creating problems with my roof. They returned my call promptly, went and saw the property and got back to me with an estimate the same day. I got a contract via email and scheduled the work. Due to a very rainy week, they had to reschedule, but they went out of their way to work around my needs. I was very happy with their professionalism, their desire to do the job the way I wanted, and their responsible attitude about cleaning up the yard before they left. I would recommend them.

our city forester recommended rpg when i asked him for a reputable company. absolutely wonderful! we had a large, dangerous tree on the verge of falling and they were out to inspect it after hours ...within an hour. they taped it off immedietly to keep pedestrians safe from the danger and they were the best price as well! highly recommend these people as they were professional, courteous and went above and beyond for us when we were in the midst of an emergency.

I have been using RGP tree service for a few years. Manuel is a pleasure to work with, always responds very quickly and does a great job! I have him come and prune my giant silver maple tree every year or two. Last fall he cut down a giant tree that was slowly dying after a lightening strike. I stayed home that day to watch them take down this tree, which was HUGE! I was amazed at the skill required for this work and felt that the money I paid was well worth the crew's considerable effort. I got many estimates for the job and Manuel's quote was the most reasonable, by a lot. I would highly recommend RGP tree service for all your tree maintenance needs.

RGP Tree Service did a great job for us -- taking out a large mulberry tree and trimming back a smaller mulberry tree in the rear of our house, despite limited access to the yard (only a narrow passageway). The team of five were friendly, professional, and quick. It was impressive how quickly and cleanly they were able to dismantle a couple of trees. When a guy is climbing a tree 60 feet above your property, dodging power lines, working a gasoline powered chain saw and being watched by folks on the ground; you want the right guys. And these are the right guys. Fantastic service. They are artists of tree work. They work hard, smart and fast. They are competitive. They like what they do and are very, very good at it. Highest recommendation. These guys are simply the best.

Had an 80 foot dead Elm hanging over power lines and our home. Com Ed never answered calls even though line damage was recently repaired 100 feet away. A call to RGP was answered immediately with an estimate provided 2 hours later. A schedule was made dependent on the weather. The only sunny day in February allowed the crew to arrive and remove the tree without damaging the surrounding trees and bushes. The stump was removed in the dark along with stray branches and sawdust. The firm followed up the next day to make sure we were satisfied which we certainly were. The price is competitive.

Used RGP took take down a huge dead 150 + year oak tree. It was in a difficult spot in the back yard mostly all limbs hanging over the house. RGP did a fantastic job. Sunday's snow storm took down two big pine tree's in my yard. One landed across my neighbors lawn missing his house by inches, the other took down phone lines in back yard. We called RGP very early Monday morning (woke them up). They were at my home within an hour had both tree's removed and area cleaned up. This was all done as most of our neighborhood was without power and streets were very dangerous. Can not recommend them enough!

Outstanding service! If you need any type of tree service these are the guys to call! Manuel and Louie were great! Called for an estimate for a large tree and bush removal and LM. Called back within five minutes and came out the same day to take a look and give an estimate. The estimate was extremely fair and less expensive than other places I called. They came out the very next day and did a meticulous job and thoroughly cleaned everything up. I highly recommend their services. Don't be fooled by the older reviews. This company was recently bought and is now under new management with Manuel and Louie. If you look at the more recent reviews, they are excellent! Previous owner stunk! We needed a neighbor's tree trimmed back to their side of the fence, and Manuel showed up early for the quote, his office followed up to schedule the day of service, and they arrived and did the work professionally, leaving our side and the neighbor's side clean. RGP executed the removal of a very large tree on my property with professionalism and great skill. They arrived promptly to assess my tree and give a quote, and I was shocked by how soon after they were able to complete the work. Their quote was lower than their competitors, and I could not have asked for better service. They were incredibly careful and controlled in their removal so as not to damage any of the nearby structures or power lines. The tree was in a very difficult position to access, yet they performed with ease and efficiency, including grinding the stump, exposed roots, and some other stumps in my yard. They arrived on time and as scheduled, worked hard, and thoroughly cleaned up the work site following removal. I highly recommend them without reservation to anybody looking for expert, quality tree services!

We had a dead tree in the front yard that needed to come down. RGP was able to schedule the job for later that week. On the agreed upon day, they arrived promptly and worked tirelessly to complete the job before dusk. They used a cherry picker rather than climbers which seemed like a safer way to go. When finished with the removal, the friendly work crew did an excellent job with cleanup. Manuel was very professional and easy to work with. We got a great price and quality work. We'll definitely keep them in mind the next time the need arises.

I was looking for months for a service that could take down my 100ft plus tree and no one could give me an honest price. Then I saw RGP working on a property across the street. They seemed like they knew what they were doing and were working really carefully but quickly. I walked up to them and asked how much and when they would be able to start working on the trees in my yard. They started immediately and completed the job in two days. They also gave me a deal for removing another tree. They were super professional and serious about doing the job right, the first time! I recommend them for any tree removal and trimming. RGP, has been trimming and removing trees for me over 10 years. Monday, one of my beautiful, trees, lost a huge branch. Needed branch cut up, removed, and tree trimmed. Also needed another tree trimmed. They arrived, punctually at 10:00 a.m., and immediately got down to business. Trimmed the tree that had lost the huge branch and started trimming the other. After a few minutes, Manuel, told me he had bad news, tree was completely hollow and dangerous. He had taken a video, the tree was in fact, hollow! They could have charged for the trim and not said anything. As bad as the tree was it would have certainly come crashing down. I would have called them again to remove fallen tree. They could have made money on us twice! However, RGP is not that kind of company, they are honest and conscientious, offer great service at a fair price. They were here until 6:00 p.m., cleaned up all debris, and left everything neat and tidy. They are coming back to remove stump, Friday. I highly recommend them without hesitation!

I had a 70 ft pine tree removed by RGP Tree service. This company is not 3 guys in a pickup truck and a chain saw. This is a professional company with experienced people. The owner was on site the whole time and did the high work himself. It was amazing to see him so high in the air and looking like he was having fun. The stump was taken out and all the roots too. Clean up was also excellent. Great owner and crew.

I needed a whole yard of various trees trimmed and some removed. Weed trees had overgrown the fence line and the complication of a large pool and overhead power lines put this job past my comfort level of doing it myself. I found RGP Tree Service through Yelp, read the positive reviews, and gave them a call. They came over immediately, walked the property with me, listened to my list of needs and made some suggestions on what made sense to keep, trim, or remove. They came the next morning did a fantastic job, were courteous, quick, and cleaned up the entire site afterward. Highly recommended! I recently worked with RGP Tree Service to remove a tree in my back yard. The owner is very polite and professional. He came out to give me an estimate on the same day that I called. His crew came back the next day to remove the tree. They were very quick and did a great job. Everything was cleaned up afterward. I needed an old dying tree between my neighbors, and my garage in the alley of Portage Park, Chicago; not having ever had any need for tree removal in the past, I called found RGP on Yelp, and asked all the right questions -- particularly, about having insurance; my skeptical mind automatically assumed I will probably get insurance verification on their vehicles; to my pleasant surprise, within 2 days of initially speaking to them over the phone, I had received an email of insurance verification listing RGP as the policy holder w/specifically stating for tree removal service. The morning of the tree removal, RGP arrived early, and were eagerly waiting to start the work. The removal went ahead without incident, despite my branches surrounding power lines -- it was scary just watching this guy! Their cost was much less than the 3 other estimates I had received. The man in charge was VERY freindly, and attentive to detail. I would recommend this company highly!!

We had a dying 100 year old Elm tree in our yard. This was the first time we needed this company, but Manuel and his crew came in at a considerably lower price than the other companies that we called. They came when promised, worked hard and left the yard in beautiful shape afterward. His crew was polite and even went above and beyond when we asked for a slice of the trunk to keep. Would definitely recommend!

This is the second time I have used this service and I was very pleased with both experiences. Manuel was prompt, courteous and came in the nick of time because my tree in the next storm or two was going to land on my house. He was very fair in the pricing and did not take advantage of my situation plus he trimmed back cleared and cut several trees that were in great need of pruning about to take out my neighbor's power lines. He carefully explained all he was going to do and why. He and his crew watched out for my budding plants and cleaned up beautifully.

I had one damaged pine tree removed , one diseased cherry tree removed and one Magnolia tree trimmed. I learned so much about these trees from Manuel. My husband and I found this company through a friend's referral. These guys were great. As soon as we called, they came out the next day and gave us the lowest estimate out of 3 companies. The following day they were here in the morning and had cut down our huge ugly tree that was clogging our sewer. We were so happy to see the tree gone. Very professional and awesome guys.

These guys are just outstanding! I am a new construction developer in the City of Chicago and have worked with them for many years on my projects which are often difficult in terms of access and neighbor concerns. RGP has completed every project beyond my expectations while importantly managing neighbor issues. The sites are clean and they apply due diligence to our buildings and surrounding structures. Recently, I had them come to my personal home to trim a very old and large tree, while removing others. To see them work in this capacity, and their willingness to accommodate my wishes, and "additions" to the initial job was without any attitude and with total commitment. I felt compelled to write this review as I feel these guys deserve attention and I wish them the best of success in building their business.

RGP is professional, courteous, prompt, and extremely affordable. They removed a mulberry tree from our backyard quickly and carefully - not an easy task given the tree's proximity to other trees, the fence, and our neighbor's deck. We will certainly use them again.
